Community Service Day

First Graders played journalist on Friday. Working in small groups and escorted by Dr. Brown, Ms. Masterson and some upper school students, they interviewed some important people in our school community. We put the big girls to work typing up all the details in mini-biographies. Later, the girls had help creating "little people" to represent those interviewed. Kindergarten mapped the school with their upper school helpers, and with our work added, we now have a wonderful display of our school community right outside our classroom. Come take a look at our handy work!

In the classroom, the girls shared their knowledge of math centers, working with geo boards, pattern blocks, counting coins, and even play-dough numbers. Can you guess which one was a favorite of our upper school friends? We even shared a special Halloween song. Maybe you've heard it at home (in the car, all night long...sorry :-)

All in all a fantastic day! Please check the website for photos from Friday and also from our field trip to Goold's Apple Farm! Username is aag and password is first!
